Mr. Jynx13 how's it going with you?
I'm feeling good, thanks for reaching out to me, I Support the hustle so it's meant for me to be here.I understand you’re working on your mixtape titled "Kamakaze Lifestyle" tell me about the project.
This is my first Solo project and I feel good about it and I always wanted to do this. I just had some contract obligations to fulfill along with regular life issues. I got my own money up and now I'm able to invest in myself as an artist and paint the picture that I always wanted to paint for people to see with out anybody's opinions interfering with it. I got about 4 more songs to go, but I do keep everybody updated through Twitter @JYNXIII and Also Facebook.com/Jynx.Zoepound or just google me.How did you come up with that title for the mixtape?
Kamakaze is what they called the pilots who was flying their planes through boats in Pearl Harbor. I spell it my own way though. They were crazy for doing that but I feel like that sometimes and you will see it in my music. I got so much going on around me that I feel wreckless. I've been holding in a lot of pain and it got to a point that I just said fuck it..I'm going to do whatever I want..say whatever I want even if it mean crazy to you. Kamakaze is my Lifestyle right now.If you can, describe yourself in one word. Why?
"Unpredictable" You never know what I'm going to say. You never know what I'm going to do. I switch things up a lol. I don't want people to get used to me. I want to give them a variety plus quality. You've done numerous shows this year, which had the biggest impact on you?
I had a show in Alabama opening up for Rick Ross along with Mike G, and us all being from Florida up in Alabama lets me know how close we are to the success that we are aiming for. I want to be more than just a local artist.
I hear you have some key features like Ball Greezy and reggae super star Pressure, what was it like working with those guys?
Shouts out to Pressure Busspipes and Ball Greezy, I did A song with Pressure Busspipes called "Know Jah" Pressure is one of the most talented Artist that walks the ground right now and it's one of the best songs I ever did in my life. It's about trials and tribulations that I been through in my lifetime as well as all my peoples that I grew up with. I will be shooting a video for that song next year. I wasn't able to get in contact with Greezy for the feature, he's on his grind and hard to catch up with and I respect that due to the fact that I can relate."Do Dat" is your latest single and its blazing up the streets pretty quick. How do you feel about the support from your fans?
Yeah I'm getting real good feedback from my mixtape single "Do Dat" I have a lot of Georgia underground DJ's approaching me about it. Anybody that knows me knows that I love my fans, for them to take time out their lives even if it's a couple of minutes to vibe to my music all I can do is show appreciation and they will always be a piece of my motivation. You also shot the video for "Do Dat" and a lot people came out to support you, how was the vibe on set and who were your surprise cameos?
The video shoot was a success BET/MTV Quality. and will be released Jan. 2011. I didn't get too exclusive with the cameos but Jimmy Dade came through and showed love, Jay Ice and the We Good Ent. fam, AMZ, 8bizzy, Gato, Kenny K and the rest of my Zoe Pound Bruthas. I kept this one G, there was no need for that Hollywood extra shit.Who or what is your motivation that keeps you pursuing your dream as an artist?
My sister Kettlyne Lubin, she passed away 2004. She supported me with everything I do whether I was wrong or right. All my bruthas that passed away Neo Brown, Dj Killa Mike and Solo especially. They believed in me and I want their dreams to come true through me. Money is also a piece of my motivation. I cant lie.How is doing your own solo project different from doing a group project with Southern Hightz?
I don't have to compromise, I can say what I want. I can work at my pace and work on my own schedule and It gives me a chance to develop as an artist and show everybody my full potential and let them get to know Jynx13 personally through my music.
